The tempo was built for several years and the trans oil fill location changed several times.
I recommend you re ask your question and include the year and engine size to get a correct answer.
On manual transmission until oil flows out of full level hole. on most manual transmission the refill hole is the oil level. On automatic transmission if no oil shows on dipstick add a quart at a time.
check the owners manual there is a section inside the manual saying how much of oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid ect..
There is normally a plug on the upper side of the transmission under the vehicle. That is where you add oil. Add oil until it runs out. It is then full.
In the gas tank. Put that piece of crap out of its misery.
A manual transmission does not have an oil pan.
ifits a manual its gear oil u add and there should be a plug on tranny to check and add oil if its a auto it goes through dipstick
There should be two dipsticks under the hood on a Malibu. One will be plainly marked "OIL" or "ENGINE OIL." The other one is your transmission fluid. This is assuming your Malibu has automatic transmission. If your Malibu has a manual transmission (stick shift), then there is no dipstick for transmission fluid -- manual trannies get lubrication from the engine oil.
okay in order to add fluid remember it is a manual, so it takes gear oil 85w-140 on the passenger side of the transmission there should be a 17mm-19mm cap bolt remove the cap bolt and squirt the gear oil in, its thick so squeeze hard. use your finger inside the transmission to check the level of the gear oil.
YOUR CAR TAKES ----GEAR OIL---- IF MANUAL TRANS,,NOT AT/FLUID,,,,,THIS IS COMING RIGHT FROM MY HAYNES MANUAL......"""REMOVE THE SPEEDOMETER CABLE DRIVE PINION FROM THE TRANSAXEL ADD LUBRICANT THROUGHT THE OPENING.REINSTALL CABLE PINION"""""...........IT DOES NOT SAY ABOUT FILL LEVELS...........BUDDY MACK
the manual transmission of a Chevrolet s-10 is lubricates by oil but is a special oil for manual transmisions
if manual transmission , it will need 90-grade gear oil
It is transmission fluid not oil. Add enough to reach the full mark on the transmission dipstick checking it according to the procedure outlined in your owners manual or what is written on the dipstick. WARNING: Do not overfill and add only 1/2 pint at a time.
