To like a page, type in the name of the page in the search box, click on the one you want, and below the name of the page it will have a "like" button that you can click to like it. To make a page, visit a page that you have liked and on the left hand side column, there will be a button that says "+ create page" and click that and then fill out all of the info for your page.
