Due to the limited hard drive space of the Apple iPhone 3GS 8 GB, you can't sync your full iTunes library to the phone if you have over 8GB of music, video, and other multimedia files. What you need to do within your iTunes and iPhone setup is to disable automatic sync so you can simple manually add the files you want on your iPhone yourself. If you only want a certain number of songs and other files to be on your phone, you can do this to leave space for apps and other files you wish to store on your Apple iPhone 3GS 8 GB.
