Check the fluid at the fill plug on the side of the transmission. It should be right up to the level of the hole. If not, add fluid.
On the top of the transmission there is a red cap. that cap comes off and you add fluid through there.

Its the transmission dip stick tube is how you add transmission fluid.

Yes
The transmission shares the engine oil.
There is a screw-in plug about the size of a quarter where the transmission connects to the engine. There is no dipstick, you just add fluid until you can't add any more.
to add transmission fluid its usually on top of the transmission. theres a cap to it and it can be lossened. to check the fluid theres a bolt sitting on top of the transmission toward the front of the car
I have a 2001 pontiac sunfire, and at the time I could not find the transmission. The manual said to add four quarts, and I did.How will I know if the transmission is circulating.
Under the car, remove the bolt to transmission fluid container, and allow it to drain. Replace the bolt and add in a few quarts of transmission fluid, start the car and allow it to warm, check the fluid level and add more if needed.
For autos generally thru dipstick tube if says add.
