The engine control unit (ECU) on a Skoda Octavia 2003 is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the pedals. It is often mounted on the firewall in the engine compartment. You may need to remove some panels or covers to access it.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM with MY 2001 OCTAVIA AND WAS TOLD BY MY LOCAL DEALER THAT THE turbo needed stripping and cleaning, if i switched the ignition off and back on the power came back at once, thought it must be electrical, but it wasn't a friend knew a chap who was a skoda technical guy and he said put redex in the fuel tank, so i did after just using about half the tank of fuel the problem was gone, the car is back to like it was three years ago.
On 2003 Challenger,Take out square filler piece next to h/brake lever,(near 12v socket).Gives access to ajustment nut. Use 10mm tube socket.

turn on the radio.it will show safe. Wait and will then show dashes for code. Press 1 until the correct first digit is shown ditto 2 for second digit and so on. When code entered touch the left or right arrow and hold for a couple of seconds. A bleep will be heard and the radio should work.
