To adjust the power steering belt on your 1984 Mercedes 280SL, first, locate the power steering pump and the belt tensioner. Loosen the bolts securing the power steering pump bracket, then adjust the pump to increase tension on the belt. Ensure the belt has about 1/2 inch of play when pressed in the middle, then tighten the bolts back to secure the pump in place. Finally, check that the belt is aligned properly and secure before starting the engine.
there is no adjustment as it as already as a pully that does that, unless yours is seized or stuck.

To adjust the belt tensioner on a 2004 Endeavor, first, locate the tensioner pulley, which is typically accessible from the front of the engine. Use a wrench or a socket to turn the tensioner counterclockwise to relieve tension on the serpentine belt. Once the belt is loose, inspect the tensioner for wear or damage; if it needs replacement, remove it and install a new one. After replacing or adjusting, ensure the belt is properly aligned and tensioned before starting the engine.
