The focus is adjusted on the lens, not on the camera body itself.

For a lens which has autofocus (almost all modern lenses) there will be a small slider switch on the lens, close to the body of the camera, which is marked 'AF' and 'M'.

This stands for AutoFocus and Manual. Switch this to 'M' and you can adjust the focus by turning one of the rings on the lens.

(Almost all zoom lenses have two rings you can turn, one changes the zoom and the other changes the focus).

How do you focus your web cam?

Most webcams will automatically focus on the main thing in front of them. If this is not working you will need to open up the software that is controlling them and manually adjust the focus which is usually in a section labelled Focus or Mechanics or some such.

Why would some of the subjects of pictures on your Canon Digital Rebel be out of focus?

You may have not allowed the camera time to focus. Press down and wait for the camera to focus before taking the picture. It may have focused on a subject in the foreground, thus causing a subject in the background to be out of focus. Read the owner's manual.

Which Canon camcorder is better?

It depends on your level of knowledge using cameras. If you have used a professional camera, then you will want one that has features that you need to manually adjust, such as the focal point and focus. However, if you are used to consumer or even prosumer cameras then you will want a different camera. Make sure you look up the specifications of which camera you are most used to using.

Are canon t70 and canon eos rebel xsi lense compatible?

The short answer is: "No" The long answer is: The T70 uses Canon FD mount lenses. FD lenses can only be focused manually. All of the exposure communication connections between the camera and lens are mechanical. An EF lens will not fit onto an FD body. In 1987, Canon introduced EOS cameras that use EF (electro-focus) lenses. All of the exposure and focusing communication connections between the camera and lens are electrical. An FD lens will not fit directly on to any EOS camera. The Rebel XSi camera is a Canon EOS digital camera that can use EF lenses or the smaller EF-S lenses made for APS-C DSLR's. Adaptors are available on a popular internet auction site that will connect an FD lens to an EOS body. The price in 2008 is just under $40, including shipping. Lens functions are manually adjustable only, and are not very convenient when used in this way.

I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3... I am looking at a Canon Soft Focus Lens - 135 mm - F2.8 - Canon EF. Would that be a good lens to get for my camera?

It's a nice lens IF you primarily shoot studio portraits. A soft focus lens makes photos that are just a slight bit out of focus - which is great for portraiture because it allows you to deemphasize blemishes, small wrinkles and other natural flaws without using a ton of corrective makeup on your subject. If you just shoot portraits every once in a while you'd be better off with a soft-focus filter like a Zeiss Softar or with a pot of Dermablend makeup. If you never shoot portraits you'll hate a soft-focus lens with a passion.

Does 35mm canon rebel lenses fit on canon digital?

All of canon's EF-mount lenses will fit on all camera bodies in the Canon EOS system. Simply, if the lens says "EF" on it, then it will fit any Canon camera that says "EOS" on it. If it says EF-S on it, it won't fit on a EOS film body or a full-frame digital. EF-S lenses only work on EOS digital SLRs with APS-C sized sensors (Digital Rebel and 10/20/30/40/50D series) If it says FD on it, it won't fit on any EOS body. These are the old manual-focus lenses from the 70's and early 80's.

Can you adjust the valves on 2001 Ford Focus?

No.

Is a canon AE-1 lens compatible with any canon digital SLR?

Yes, via a lens adapter available from aftermarket producers. All Canon FD lens to Canon EOS lens mount adapters will contain an optical element to provide correct focus at infinity. This is because the Canon FD lens flange focus distance (distance from the focus plane to lens mount) is shorter then the Canon EOS lens.
