Only 1,100 Plymouth Road Runner convertibles were built with the 383 engine and a four-speed manual transmission during the 1970 model year. This combination is highly sought after by collectors due to its rarity and performance. The Road Runner was known for its muscle car appeal, and the 383 engine paired with a four-speed transmission offered an exciting driving experience.
The 1974 Plymouth Road Runner offered a 3-speed manual transmission identified by the model number A833. For the 4-speed manual transmission, the model number is also A833, but it is specifically referred to as the A833 4-speed. Both transmissions were part of the performance options available for that model year.
