This can be a messy job so put some cardboard on the floor under the vehicle. They also sell clips that attach to the rocker arms to help keep the mess to a minimum. Warm engine, turn engine off, remove one side valve cover, attach clips if you have them, start engine, using a 5/8" deep socket start on one end and loosen a rocker nut until you hear the rocker clatter, turn rocker nut back in just until the noise stops, then continue turning the rocker nut in 1 full turn gradually 1/4 turn at a time. If you go to fast you will hear the engine stumble, go slower. Do this to each rocker on one side. Turn engine off, remove clips, replace that valve cover, remove the other side valve cover and repeat proccess. Factory specs call for one full turn in on the adjustment but some mechanics do less for their own personal reasons.
You don't, there is no adjustment.
To adjust the valves on a Chevy Celebrity 2.5L 4 cylinder engine I would recommend that you consult a manual, either factory or Chilton or Haynes. There you will find not only how to do the adjustment but the settings to use to adjust the valves in the correct closed position.
Chevy did not build a Malibu in 1995.
It could keep the engine from running, but not the valves from moving.
on top left facing engine,it is a small valve on top of pump!! on v6.
That engine is pushrod, it is the GM 3100 if I'm not mistaken. What are symptoms because bent valves are unlikely.
Compression test
it is preset at manufacturing !!
If it has hydraulic lifters, you do not adjust the valves.
There is no adjustment.
no adjustment!! set at factory.
They are not adjustable.
