You can't. You either replace it or get it rebuilt.
no. there are no adjustments on any mass air flow sensor
The 1988 F-150 doesn't have a master air flow sensor.
Flow of fuel through the carburetor is controlled by the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) - that would be the first thing to check before trying to make any adjustments.
It doesn't have a MAF sensor.
It is a sensor placed in the exhaust flow that indicates the level of unburned fuel in the exhaust so the computer can adjust the air- fuel ratio
the mass air flow sensor measures the amount of air flow going into the intake so that it can properly adjust the air to fuel ratio. if you are thinking about removing it, don't do it. your car will not run properly.
It senses the amount of air being drawn into the engine and communicates with the computer to adjust fuel levels accordingly.
MAP sensor stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor and is used to measure the density and quantity of air entering the air manifold. The MAP then sends that info to the ECU which it uses to adjust the fuel flow to the injectors.

Disconnect it. If it runs the same or better, have it rebuilt $200 from Python Injection, out of California. Borrowing another one would be best.

This is the sensor that is usually built into the Mass Air Flow (MAF), or screws into the airbox. It measures the intake temperature so the engine can adjust different things, such as fuel, so the engine is running at its best.
