Being a mother of three children I have used saline solution lots of times! My suggestion that worked for me is to cradle baby in your arms slightly tilting down. Whilst cradling baby gently holding baby's arms out of their face or you could swaddle baby beforehand. Gently drop the saline solution into their nose one or two drops at a time. More will go into the nose than you think! Hope this helps!
