Cows will randomly appear on yours and your facebook friend's farms. When they appear, a pop up window will open asking if you would like to help this lonely animal. When you choose "Help" or "Accept" a post will be made on your facebook news feed asking if anyone wants to adopt the animal. Whenever you see one of these posts on your facebook news feed, click "Adopt the Animal" or simply click on the picture of the animal, and its yours!
However, making the animals appear at will is impossible because it is completely random.
Also, you cannot adopt an animal that comes onto your farm, it HAS to be from someone else's.
