ANSWER Make sure the area is clean and DRY. If you don't have disposable rubber gloves, wash your hands well. Apply a SMALL amount to the tip of your finger and spread a very thin layer of the ointment on the affected area. Be sure to cover the entire area with a thin layer. Then follow the directions on the tube for how often to use it. Frequent THIN layers are better than putting it on too thick.......ONE LAST little trick...put the tube in your pocket for about 20 mins. before applying! This warms the ointment to body temp and makes spreading it on much easier, and more comfortable!! HAPPY HEALING! <
