Open your Windows firewall by clicking the start button, click control panel, click security, and then clicking Windows firewall. You must allow the program. Administrator permission required if you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Next you add port. In the Name box, type a name that will help you remember what the port is used for. In the Port number box, type the port number. Finally select TCP or UDP, depending on the protocol.
This issue normally comes up because your modem or router has a separate firewall that is blocking access. You can go through the process of calling your ISP or you can easily press the reset button, on the back of the router, for 20 seconds.
Stop windows firewall service.
depends on the software you are using for the firewall. if your using windows xp firewall just disable it. start-->control panel-->firewall then click the opt button to turn it off. This is not a detailed enough answer neither does it work.
When using Microsoft Windows XP, you simply go to your control panel ( found in the start menu ) and you go to the Security Center or Windows Firewall, and then you switch it off

People have had problems downloading Relic 2 if they have a firewall. If you're using Windows Firewall or another firewall, turn it off.
You have to have a program that is actually using this port for it to be "open." As long as the program is not blocked by Windows Firewall, the port will be open.
Windows Firewall can block viruses and malware coming from malicious websites. This can keep your computer from being infected or have your personal data stolen.
No, it doesn't conflict at all with Windows XP SP2's firewall. It actually takes the place of it. It's actually integrated into the Windows Security Center. I have been using Comodo Firewall Pro for over a year and I haven't had one problem with it whatsoever. It's earned the highest rating in default configuration and is even better than Norton and McAfee Firewalls. Best of all, it's FREE!! You can't beat that!! When you install Comodo Firewall Pro, it will automatically disable the Windows XP SP2 Firewall.
It is perfectly acceptable to run both at the same time. I do at home, and have never had a problem myself. -- There is no problem in using both, but Windows Firewall is superflous when you have got a Router with an integrated Firewall. They both do the same thing - block malicious INCOMING requests. The problem is that any OUTGOING traffic is considered safe and that is a security issue you might want to address by installing a third party software firewall and disabling Windows Firewall (running two software firewalls on the same machine could cause conflicts).
Your connection is probably lost for the entire internet. try going on other sites. If this does not work, you probably have a bug in your computer and should immediately contact a professional.
Using a custom Antivirus or the built in Windows Firewall, you can choose which ports to remain open and connect, and which ones are closed. Closed ports deny connection attempts made to them.
Yes, if your firewall has allowed connections from the router then you can find the IP. I am assuming you are using Windows you can open command prompt > type 'ipconfig' > then find the IP for the router. Then in your address bar in a web browser paste this IP in.
