By doing what they ask you to do the first time they ask you. The shock itself will probably leave them quiet for hours. Telling them to shut up is one thing that is not working since that is bad behavior which is what they are trying for you not to have.

∙ 13y agoThere is never a time that you should tell your mom to shut up. You should never disrespect your mom regardless to what she say or does. She is the parent not you. She gave birth to you, you didn't give birth to her. If she is asking you a question, answer it respectfully and if she is just talking, listen to what she is saying. Whether you agree or disagree with what she is saying, you should never "talk back" to her. You may choose to tune her out which is better than talking back. Honor your mother that your days may be long on the earth.
