Your question leads me to believe that you have the following equation:

Na + Cl ---> NaCl2

In that case, note there is one Na (sodium) on the left and one on the right, so they are good. There's one chloride on the left but two on the right, so placing a "2" in FRONT of the Cl on the left will balance the equation and look as such:

Na + 2Cl ---> NaCl2
