I believe to be a successful realtor, you MUST place the Buyer or Sellers needs before your own. Listening and understanding their persona is also the key. I think continuing in your education as a real estate associate/realtor is also just as important. Enjoy the free classes many associations have throught the entire year and take addional courses and seminars to better yourself, gain more knowledge and stay in the game. Laws change, markets change, technology does as well. The more "you" know as an agent the better you will be equiped to serve your clients. I also feel engaging daily in your area with people, co-workers, friends and even those you don't know as of yet is immparative. Attend open houses and knock on those neighbors doors... Let them know who you are and about the open house..see if they know someone who might be interested in buying or selling.. However and Wherever you are "JUST ENGAGE".. I find by being friendly and smiling to those around me in the general public that I am easy to approach and I end up meeting great people most of the time that also live & work in my community.. Eventually numbers are exchanged, jobs are discussed and a lot of times these people are the same ones that might need to rent, sell or buy a place themselves or know someone that does. I am normally social and friendly. At the end of it all.. I believe in a great God who loves us all and I try to show that side of me in how I acknowledge even the smallest of them all. People like to be acknowledged and sometimes a simple "smile" with the lips or even your eyes is enough to make there day and in return most people remember you right back and eventually become your friends...
