How do you beat pandemic eom?

There is a simple twelve-step process for winning Pandemic: EoM.

1. Start in Greenland, otherwise restart.

2. Downgrade Lethality to 0.

3. Upgrade first Infectivity to 2, then Drug Resistance. Then upgrade both of them to 3.

4. Spread your disease everywhere in Greenland.

5. Infect Greenland's airport.*

6. Infect everybody in the newly infected region.

7. Spread your disease to your neighbors. Infect everyone within a country before infecting another one.*

8. Once all of the Western or Eastern Hemisphere is infected, infect as many airports as possible and hope the disease preads to the other hemisphere. Ignore the South Pacific for now!

9. Repeat Step 7 until everyone in your new hemisphere is infected. Again, ignore the South Pacific.

10. Devote all points to infecting airports. Once the South Pacific is infected, spread it to everyone there.

11. Downgrade Infectivity to 0 and upgrade Lethality whenever possible*. Keep on pressing the End Turn button and continually upgrade Lethality. Level 7 is a good place to stop.

12. Wait for everyone to die, and come up with a good name for your virus.

The method earns from 400-600 points, depending on where the airports land. It averages around 500. It's used to win the game, not to get high scores.

NOTICE: A few more warnings if something goes wrong. In my system, there are two main things that can affect the normal system. Either a) a country is at 4/5 cure or b) your airport from Greenland lands in the South Pacific. Here is what to do in such situations.

Problem: A Country Has Four-Fifths Cure!

Solution: Reduce that cure! If country is infected, devote all points to attacking cure until cure is at 3/5 completion. If it is not infected, devote all points to airports and hope it lands in that country! Once it does, attack cure until it is at 3/5. Once cure is at three-fifths completion (instead of 4/5), return to where you were beforehand.

Problem: My Infected Airplane From Greenland Landed In South Pacific At Step 5!

Solution: This helps and hinders you at the same time. On one hand, you'll be able to skip Step 10 by doing it now. On the other hand, it delays Steps 6-9 and gives countries time to make cures. If you land in South Pacific, just infect everyone there and devote all points to airports until a country other than Greenland or South Pacific arrives.
