Adventism is not something that can occur over night, as with any other belief. First you must understand what the denomination believes in and what our doctrines are. To become a Seventh-Day Adventist you must believe that there is only 1 God as with other christian denominations. It is important as an SDA to observe the sabbath and know that this is a day devoted to God, helping you to spend time in his word (The Bible) and gain a spiritual understanding of what he wants for your life. Just building this relationship with God can help in the first stages of becoming SDA. I'd say a very important thing to do is find an SDA church to go to, where you think you will comfortable and welcomed.

You don't. There is no such thing as a Seventh-day Adventist priest.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has ministers or pastors, not priests. To become a minister, you study theology and the Church's Fundamental Beliefs.

Generally through baptism, but sometimes through another process known as profession of faith, in cases where the person has previously been baptized into another Christian denomination. They have already shown their belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, so all that is lacking in their case is to profess their faith in Adventist beliefs.

The most common way is by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and being baptized.

Others, especially those who have already been baptized, may enter by profession of faith, which involves making a public statement of your faith in the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and your desire to join.

Be baptised by water in an Adventist congregation. If you have already been baptised by water you may request membership by signing membership vows.

Can a couple get married in a church if one is from the Church of Christ and the other is from the Seventh-day Adventist Church?

== == If the church is only a setting for the wedding, almost anyone may be married in a church, generally speaking. Regarding the person who officiates, I don't know the rules in the Church of Christ, but an Adventist pastor would not be willing to perform a marriage between an Adventist and someone of another faith: in the Bible, it says to not be "unequally yoked," which for Adventists means that you shouldn't marry someone who has different beliefs. A Seventh-day Adventist pastor has to be ordained in order to be able to perform marriages. The position of the church is to marry a non-Adventist couple or an Adventist couple. Marring a non-Adventist with an Adventist is what the rule of the church does not allow. But there is the other option, civil marriage in court.

What do Seventh-day Adventist pastors do?

Adventist Pastors , are responsible for growing the church they are assigned too. They teach important theology and historicism which is glanced over or admitted altogether in most protestant churches today . They also counsel, baptize and visit church members as well as non church members. Lastly they often are called to travel and lead evangelical campaigns.
