The Alternates Specialist division is a Supervisors' Division of the Vandal Patrol Program.
The Alternates Specialists are responsible for the splitting and merging of question alternates in an effort to increase the functionality of the site and properly deal with inappropriate and obscene alternates.

An alternate specialist is a person who fixing the alternates getting rid of any alternates that are incorrect and obscene or inflamatory by doing this they get rid of vandalism and help out the sites functionality
A Premier Answerer is recognised for their outstanding answers (only Non-Supervisors may receive this badge), whilst an Alternates Specialist is a member of the Vandal Patrol (Supervisors only) that deals with questions with large amounts of alternates, splitting, rewording and recategorizing the alternates.

The requirements to become an insurance specialist vary depending on what type of insurance specialist you want to become. Some common requirements include 2 years of experience, experience with medical terminology, professionalism in written and oral communication and knowledge of computers.
