The easiest way to get a unicorn is just to cheat. Press control shift c and then type in testingcheatsenabled true When you find a unicorn, (usually out late at night) you shift click it (or right click it, not sure) and you have an option to "add to family". There you can add it and you can have it as a pet. If you wanted to take the long way, you have to start befriending wildlife such as wild horses by petting them and doing actions to show affection over and over until you can adopt one. There is a hidden skill that you cannot see, basically your wildlife skill. This determines whether or not you can befriend certain animals like unicorns. When it's high enough, which there isn't really a way to tell since it's hidden, you can befriend the unicorn and adopt it. Hope this helped :)
