How do you best illustrate a position of neutrality when writing about controversial issues?

The most important aspect of writing from a neutral perspective is to present both (or all) sides of the issue from a completely unbiased perspective in a manner that does not allow readers to discern the views of the author. Many times, that it a lot easier said than done, especially when writing about controversial or emotionally-charged topics, such as politics, religion, some medical and science issues, and issues about otherwise neutral subjects for which you have had personal experiences that have biased your views.
When writing from a position of neutrality information is presented in a factual, rather than emotional, manner. Words must be carefully chosen so as to avoid crossing the line of presenting information to attempting to persuade readers to accept one view and reject others. This is especially true when transitioning from one view to the other and when using descriptive words. For example, instead of saying "the other side" you can say "the other view," or "on the other hand." Instead of saying something like "the less informed" or "those who get their information from this or that source (which is considered to be a biased source), you can say "Some have concluded" or "Others believe." When using descriptive words, choose them carefully or leave them out.
The most important aspect of writing from a neutral perspective is to proofread what you have written, and to do it critically. Look for words that slant the neutral perspective, especially in a subtle way. Change anything that is not totally neutral.

Global warming is a subject that the well informed know is a real danger to our human existence, yet some still do not believe it's real. Those who have studied the subject know that it's real, and have taken steps to do what they can to decrease greenhouse gases, while the ones who reject it go on as if nothing is wrong. Scientific evidence has shown that global warming is a serious threat to our environment. Those who reject that evidence site other sources in order to backup their views.
Now, the neutral perspective:
Global warming is an issue that has different views. While some accept that global warming is real, others believe the earth is experiencing a normal warming period. Those who believe it is real, point to carbon emissions as a cause and seek to reduce the carbon footprint that they leave on the earth. On the other hand, those who believe it is a normal warming period believe that the carbon footprint has no effect on the warming....
