All you have to do is open the master cylinder cap and push the pedal to the floor, hold and replace cap, then release pedal and it should bring back the tension in the brakes.
ignore the above trash
easiest to have 2 people to bleed brakes
one in the vehicle and other under vehicle
find exact sized wrench to fit bleeder nipple on brakes on backside of each wheel or caliper
check all wheels for wet areas,to detertime if sytem is leaking at wheels'if no leaks keep reading
this can be done without removing wheels or you can remove wheels
the same method is used for each wheel, starting at the furtherest wheel from maste cylander, usually back left wheel
make sure mastr cylander is topped up with proper fluid
now get under car and use wrench to crack open the bleeder nipple ,the shut it but not tighten
then tell your helper in the car to pump pedal till he has best pedal he can get thehn to hold pressure on pedal till yo tell him to let off the pressure
you loosen bleeder so it allows fluid to come out.when fluid stops shut bleeder,
pump pedal and repeat
you should be able to get fluid to spurt out after couple of tries.tighten bleeder but be sure not to overtighten as they break easy
check fluid level in master cylander
now go to right side back wheel and repeat same bleeding method as first wheel
check fluid in master cylander
go to left front wheel and repeat bleeding
as you move from wheel to wheel you will notice air coming out ,this means your doing it right
check fluid in master cylander
got to right front wheel and bleed same as other wheels
if you have bled it right, your helper should have a good pedal now with out having to pump the pedal
before you start,if you have a low peadal and fluid is low in master cylander, check the thickness of your brake pads.if theses are worn replace them, this will push brake fluid back to proper level in master cylander and may be the problem,
if after doing that you still have spongy pedal ,follow directions i have written and you will get the job done

This new 6th Generation Malibu based on the GM Epsilon platform was given the name Malibu, whereas the older N-Body 5th Generation Malibu was renamed to the Malibu Classic. The Classic was only available with the 2.2L 4 cylinder Ecotec engine (L61) for 2004 through the end of its production run, and furthermore, was only available as a rental car or to taxi-cab companies.
