Occasionally, when you own a cell phone, you will find the need to block certain phone numbers. Unfortunately, phone harassment and stalking exists, where a stranger or someone you know will incessantly call your number and prove to be a nuisance. When you find yourself in a situation where this is happening, you will no doubt want to block phone numbers. The easiest way to do this is to use Google Voice, which is compatible with a number of smartphones. When a call comes through from a number you want to block, you will have to be logged into your Google Voice account. From there, you would select the checkbox next to the call or voicemail, then select "more" beneath it and choose the "block caller" option. This will successfully block a phone number. In other cases, you might want to block your own phone number from showing on other people's Caller ID. This is much easier to do as it is an option under your settings.
