Continue to show it you love it and care about it and it will eventually break through. Give it lots of treats and try to pet it. It probably has been through some rough stuff.
Parakeet is kākāriki which can also mean green
if you mean catch a parakeet and put it in a cage in the zoo , then yes.
It is sick.
it means to be smart
Mounting, as if mating, is a sign of real or attempted dominance in many birds, so it does not neccessarily mean any mating takes place. If you mean can they form a (bonded) pair, rather than can they mate, the answer is yes - many birds that normally have strong pair-bonds will bond to whatever they can if deprived of a normal partner. Pet birds can bond to humans, other pets or inanimate objects, such as toys.
Parakeets seem to be social birds, but there's no reason a single parakeet can't be perfectly happy. They will need more attention from humans, since they will bond primarily with the owner and not another bird. Birds in pairs or groups bond with each other, preferentially.
nice parakeet
if your parakeet has a pink nose, that means it is still a baby, adult parakeets have a blue or brown nose, depending on the gender.
Perico translates from Spanish to mean parakeet.
The parakeets would much rather be with other parakeets, THEY ARE FLOCK BIRDS!!! However, if you have more than one parakeet, they will not bond to you because they are bonding to the other parakeets. The reason that parakeets bond so well is that they are flock birds and so if you make yourself part of their flock, they will bond very well. But if you are wondering what would make them happy, they would much rather be with other parakeets. A good parakeet site is www.lisashea.com/petinfo/budgie.html
it might be a water parakeet because aqua stands for water in spanish and another word for parakeet is keet,do you know what i mean?
it really depends on what type of parakeet you have and what environment they live in...they need to have a friendly and not mean mate too..
