If it was installed properly there is no need to break it in.
i want to know if a new clutch was put in a 1990 geo storm can it break in half in two days just driving arount town
That year is NOT ajustable. It sounds like it is TIME for a NEW clutch. It may just be the clutch slave cylinder too. Check it first.
There is NO adjustment. It is adjusted automatically through the hydraulic slave cylinder. Probley time for a NEW clutch kit.
Just Drive It
The clutch master cylinder on a Chevy S10 is replaced by disconnecting the metal lines, unscrewing the retaining bolts, and removing it from the housing. A new master cylinder can then be put into place and reattached.
it depends on what kind of cluch you want to go with,at a Chevy dealership you can get a Toyota clutch or a chevey clutch. I had to put in a new clutch in my 96 prism and it was a Toyota and it costed me about 800
Either have air in your lines or you might need a new clutch plate.
To replace the clutch on a Chevy Colorado, first, lift the vehicle and remove the transmission by disconnecting the driveshaft, exhaust components, and any electrical connections. Once the transmission is out, unbolt the pressure plate and remove the old clutch disc. Install the new clutch disc and pressure plate, ensuring proper alignment, then reassemble the transmission and reconnect everything. Finally, lower the vehicle and test the clutch operation before driving.
The clutch release ("throw-out") bearing has gone bad...Use a new clutch disc when you replace the clutch release bearing...or it could be the clutch master cylinder. Check the master cylinder first...Look for any sign of leakage from either component .
To change the clutch in a 2001 Chevy Tracker, first, disconnect the battery and lift the vehicle to access the transmission. Remove the transmission by detaching the drive shafts, shift linkage, and any electrical connections. Once the transmission is out, unbolt the old clutch assembly from the flywheel, install the new clutch and pressure plate, and reassemble everything in reverse order. Finally, ensure all connections are secure and test the clutch operation before taking the vehicle for a drive.
i think so a new chevy can surely fit one
I recently purchased a new clutch kit for a 1998 Prizm (which should be the same) from Oreilly Auto Parts for $99.00. This kit included the cluch plate, pressure plate and bearing. Hope that helps.
