Oh, and you could try adding more string to use, just make sure it doesn't get caught in the axle when you test it. Also, large wheels help get the most out of each turn of the axle.

∙ 15y agoI'm assuming that you already know how to make a mousetrap car, right? Basically, you just need to wind the rubber band or string (whatever you're using) as tightly as possible around the axel so that when it goes off it spins the axel faster. You also want to make you lever that pulls the string as long as possible without being too long. The idea is that the more string that is wrapped aroung the axel the more it will spin. If the lever is too lond though, it's pointless because then it just weights the car down and it doesn't do any good.
