Take a handful of the straws, spread them apart at the top, and let the egg sit in between them all, keep them together by attaching the rubberband around the straws and egg under the egg. You should have a cone shape with the egg in the middle. Use tape to attach the top of each straw to the paper, so that it looks like this:

Shaped like a parachute. This should work from a good height.
Here are two things you could choose from.
1.) loop of tape on top of the egg attaching it to the box top while falling with the rubber bands attached to (gently) pull the egg down to the bottom of the box after/during landing would also soften the crash, saving the egg. Or design the box so it lands on its top with egg up in air at bottom of box which is originally facing up, and then flips over (bouncy rubber bands and fan folded paper on real top and sides) putting the egg on the box bottom which becomes on the floor.
2.) Make a box out of paper. Make it fairly large, but not too big. Now, fit a cylinder in the middle of the box. MAKE SURE THE EGG CAN FIT INSIDE THE CYLINDER. Also, make sure the cylinder is stuck down good, and in the middle of the box. If it's not in the middle, it won't be weighted quite right. Now, rip paper into strips and crumple it up. Stuff as much of it as you can in the tube, still allowing room for the egg. Now, tape more crumpled paper to the top of the box, in case it flips over. When you place the egg in the box , make sure it is in the tube, and that you put some of the paper on top of the egg.
make a cone shape out of cardboard ten use two straws cut tfour holes in the top slide the straws trough and thats how you do it
to make a typewriter is quite simple. you make keys out of cardboard and make a paper shelf with a ink shelf underneath it. when you take away the paper shelf to dip the stamps in ink. then you put the paper shelf back in. you then use rubber bands to make the keys pop backup. use cardboard for the frame. this is how to build your own homemade typewriter that is great for kids projects (especially with teachers like a guy named Mr.Bills)

you just cut a ship from cardboard.
A stretched rubber band has potential energy like a spring. It has the potential to snap back. I used to build model airplanes with rubber band motors. I also had a rubber band gun that shot rubber bands. The potential energy stored in the rubber bank is what made these devices work.
