How do you bury things in Animal Crossing City Folk?

I got stuck on this too when I was trying to get a golden shovel by burying my shovel for 24 hours, (thats how you get the golden shovel) and all you need to do is buy 2 shovels and did a hole with the first shovel. Then go to your pockets a click on your second shovel and press bury and then your shovel will be now be in the ground. Hope this helped! :) xxx

You buy a shovel from nooks store (unless you have tom nook's first store, wait for it to come into the store) the equip it, press a to use it

once you've got a hole put whatever you want in it

Easy just get 2 shovels dig a hole with one of them (using the a button) click on the other one in your inventory. Then click on bury and done. But if you want the golden shovel leave the shovel you buried there for 24 hours. Then the next day dig it up and BOOM you've got yourself a golden shovel.
