How do you bypass a 91 commodore immobilizer?
check for key lock left hand front door jamb
This is something that can really only be done with a lot of auto-electrical work. The immobilizer is incorporated in the BCM (Body Control Module) which basically controls the car's electrics. It can't really be bypassed unless you really know what you're doing and have a lot of time and/or money to spend on it.
The immobilizer is a security mechanism mounted in the vehicle. So you won't be able to bypass it. All you can do is have it checked in an authorized service. can bypass the ecu to start without immobiliser, pls send your ecu , we will reprogramme it and send it to you - firstname.lastname@example.org - Chennai - India - +919841436436
I also need to bypass the immobilizer on my Laguna. The central lock button on my 1996 Renault laguna doesn't work (open locks) and also the immobilizer light mounted on it is off. Nevertheless, there is power to the button. This led me to believe that there are no signals to or from the control box. Can anyone tell me where the central control box is located?
Sometimes. The only reason you will usually need a key to program is for the immobilizer bypass module. Depending on the immobilizer used in the vehicle, some will require two keys to properly program the bypass module. This will depend on whether or not your vehicle has an immobilizer, and if it does, what kind it has. Professional installation is always recommended with remote starts, and the installer should be able to tell you if…
Unless it is an automatic ecu you can buy an immobilizer by pass unit from K-Tuned or Hybrid Racing. Google this ""k-tuned immobilizer bypass" and the little box wires into the engine harness that connects to the ecu and will work fine. I have it on my 98 Civic because I put an RSX-S engine into it.
There is an immobilizer bypass unit (specific to your vehicle type) that must be wired to the remote start's brain and components of car. You must use one of your keys for this unit, so if you like having the number of keys you currently have you need to get another key programmed to your car (go to dealer), PRIOR to installing immobilizer bypass.
Will your factory immobilizer work if you change the engine ive lost the curcuit board and casing but still have the blade so the car will turn over once then cut out it wont keep trying?
as in ive broken the key and missed placed the plastic end of it, i still have the metal part but not the immobilizer end. so it will turn over each time you turn the key but it wont start or even continue to keep turning over till started just turns once on each key turn. so i thought maybe a different motor might bypass this as i cant afford to buy a new key…
Ive lost your immobilizer key for your Ford Fiesta lx 1993 and now cannot start your car help please?
Why would you want to bypass it? It helps keep your car from being stolen. If there is a problem or you need a key that works with it, just fix it and/or buy the key. A more detailed answer can be found here: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_remove_the_immobiliser_from_a_1995_Frontera_Sport By design it is difficult and expensive to remove this feature from a car.
