Sometimes performance chips will allow you to mess with the top speed and rev limiter. Btw the intrepid wasnt made in 05
You would have to "reprogram" the PCM with a performance tuner.
You can not bypass the system. It requires the dealers scan tool to program the key.
you cant its a rev limitor in your computer that cant be changed unless you buy an upgradeable chip
change chip and computer. but why would u do that ? doesnt make sense . nnot a race car
Sure
Chip? Dodge does not have any replaceable "chips" in any of its computers.
Simplest is to get another good key. If that is not available then you need to modify the wiring harness to bypass the chip reader by inserting the resistor elsewhere in the circuit.
No
It does not have a governor. there is a governor at least one similar. my speedometer goes up to 130, but at 115 a governor like disabling of power happens. please e mail me at mister_pk@snowboard.com if you have any answers. thanks it most likely is speed limited by the computer, the only way to bypass it is with a custom burned computer or an aftermarket performance chip
Yes, the 2004 Chevy Impala SS does have a governor chip that limits its top speed. This chip is factory installed and limits the speed to just over 100 mph.
If you could bypass it easily it wouldn't be much of an anti-theft device now would it?
You can't.
Most of them do.
