Make sure you feed it well with lots of gravel and for a treat, small pieces of chalk. Also, pet rocks will need to be sung, talked or read to at least every hour, on the hour, or they will die. You can tell if they are dead from the way they stay dead still. However, your pet rock is perfectly healthy if it lies perfectly still. Dont forget a litterbox, or your rock will do its business somewere in your house were you will never find it, you will only smell it. Finally, rocks steal socks. Not washing machines.
