To calculate the Center of Gravity (CG) is by knowing the object's balance point around which there are equal moment arms of length times weight. Mathematically, take the average or mean distribution of the weight of the object.
See where the object is in balance over a straight edge. The center of gravity is on the plane that the edge bisects through the object. Repeat with the object at different orientations to the straight edge. The center of gravity is the point where the planes all intersect.
The conventional method is to separate the object into three different axes, or if it's n-dimensional, n axes.
With each axis, set the distance of the center of mass as your variable, "x" or "y" or "z", or whatever you want to use as your unknown variable.
Then use this equation:
"variable"*"total mass"=The sum of all masses multiplied by their distance from the location you set as zero.
Be careful, on the right side of the equation, to use the distance of the "zero" to the center of mass of the "submass".
This way you can calculate the coordinates of the center of mass for the object with respect to a point you want to choose.
The circular ring is supposed to be uniform in thickness and density at any point. The center of gravity between any two points will fall in a diameter. The symmetric points on the other side of the ring will have their CG exactly on the other side of the diameter at an equal distance from the Center of the ring So their CG will be exactly on the Center All different diameters pass through the center of the ring. So all the Centers of gravity ultimately fall in the center making the total of the center of Gravity of the total ring.
Source(s):My study of StaticsYou could use the wii fit, it will explain your centre of gravity, how it is calculated and what you could do to lower it.
You can use a method called the Plumb line
Along the extent of the pipe, it balances at one distance from its end.

It is always different depending on the object. For example a female humans' center of gravity is in the hip. as a male humans' center of gravity is in the chest. But once you have found the center of gravity in an object the center of gravity should be the same in every object like it.
The center of mass and center of gravity serve two separate purposes. As an individual, your center of gravity and center of mass remains the same. The earth has a center of mass. The moon has a center of mass. The moon does not orbit the earth. They orbit their center of gravity. Their center if gravity is always changing. It is not a fixed point. When an airplane takes off, its center of gravity is one place. As it burns fuel, its center of gravity changes. It might be necessary to change its attitude, which today is done automatically by computers. The computers are checked at the end of the flight by human beings.
No, objects cannot have more than one center of gravity. The center of gravity of an object can however change.
If the cube is uniform ( ie it has uniform density) then the geometric center of the cube is its center of gravity.
Along the extent of the pipe, it balances at one distance from its end.
If a force acts in a direction which passes through the centre of gravity of the object then it will impart no rotational acceleration; only linear acceleration.

The center of gravity is an average of the location of the points of gravity. If you had a flying ring like a Frisbee but without the center, the center of the gravity would be in the hole.
important points about center of gravity

the center gravity
That all depends on the shape of the object and how its mass is distributed. The center of gravity of a solid sphere is at the center of the solid sphere. The center of gravity of a solid cube is at the center of the solid cube. The Earth's center of gravity is at the center of the Earth, and there's certainly plenty of mass there. But the center of gravity of a ring is at the center of the ring ... an open space where the finger goes.

Since the atmosphere is more or less symmetric, its center of mass (center of gravity) gravity must be quite close to Earth's center.
