Measure the displacement of water when the object is submerged in water. This gives the volume ; then weigh the object and divide the weight by the volume to get the density.
Volume of irregular or regular shape object is the space reserved by the object in any medium.
use a graduated cylinder
If the shape of the object is regular (a cube or a sphere) then the volume can be calculated from the measurement of the object's key dimension(s). And the object's mass can be determined in a mass balance. Give the mass and volume the density is calculated by dividing the mass by the volume. Where the object's shape is irregular, the volume may be determined by measuring the volume of a liquid displaced by submerging the object completely in that liquid.
You use disfigurasation
The shape of an object is not enough to calculate its density. You also need its mass and then Density = Mass/Volume.
Density = (mass) divided by (volume)regardless of the substance, or the shape of the sample.

Density is weight divided by volume. Measure the weight (with a scale), calculate the volume (which is easy to do if the foam is rectangular in shape - you might even want to cut out a rectangular piece, if your foam has an irregular shape), and divide the weight by the volume.
Simple. A triangle is a 2-dimensional object and therefore its volume is always 0.
use a graduated cylinder
The shape does not affect the density: density = mass / volume = 50.2g / 5.0 ml = 10.04 g/ml
If you wanted to describe the length and breadth of an irregular shape you would find the maximum length and breadth. You could sandwich the object between two flat boards, and measure the distance between the boards. Then rotate the object 90o and do it again, for the breadth.
Find the density and mass of the object d=m/v and plug in your numbers and solve for volume
