You could have an electric motor driving a reduction gearbox, for example. The efficiencies of both might be considered individually, or as a whole. As a whole is easier.

(Work out/ work in) x 100 = efficiency%. Or, (power out/ power in) x 100 = efficiency%. Or, (force out/ force in) x100 = efficiency%.

It depends on what you have to work with, what you use.

If you did need to calculate electrical and mechanical efficiencies separately because of different units, the final overall efficiency will be (total of the percentages) / (number of percentages).

Formula for calculating efficiency of a mechanical system?

Efficiency % = (Output/Input) x 100

What would happen to a pulley system if the load were increased?

Ideal mechanical advantage is the mechanical advantage when there is no friction. It is the mechanical advantage when the efficiency of the pullefy system is 100%. It is a constant for that system of pulleys. Therfore it is not affected by increasing or decreasing the load. But actual mechanical advantage will be less than this ideal mechanical advantage due to friction. In other words the efficiency will be less than 100 %. If the efficiency is 80%, it implies 20% is wasted due to friction while lifting a load. If we increase the load the friction also increases and hence the efficiency will decrease with the load.

What is the definition of force oscillation?

A response of a mechanical or electrical system in reaction to an external signal

What is the formula for calculating efficiency of a mechabical system?

Assuming you meant mechanical, Energy output / Input x 100

Define output efficiency?

efficiency eta = output / input where output is the amount of mechanical work or energy released by a process, and input is the quantity of work or energy used to run the process. Due to the principle of conservation of energy, energy efficiency within a closed system can never exceed 100%. At a loutspeaker you have electrical Voltage as input and sound pressure as output. The efficiency of the loudspeaker is really only 1 percent.

What is meant by coupling magnetic field in electromechanical energy conversion?

Coupling field is link between electrical and mechanical energies in electromechanical energy conversions. If the output is mechanical (motor), coupling field reacts with input electrical energy in terms of Back EMF which opposes the input. Coupling field absorbs energy from electrical system, converts and delivers mechanical energy. If output is electrical (generator), coupling field reacts with input mechanical energy in terms of Magnetic Drag which opposes the input. Coupling field absorbs energy from mechanical system, converts and delivers electrical energy.

How does increasing the number of pulleys affect the ideal mechanical advantage and efficiency of pulley system?

Ideal mechanical advantage is the mechanical advantage when the efficiency of the pullefy system is 100%. It is a constant for that system of pulleys. Therfore it is not affected by increasing or decreasing the load. The MA of a pulley is equal to the number of supporting ropes. If the load is supported by one rope , the M.A of the system is 1. Efficiency is 1 for ideal pulley ( No loss of energy due to friction)If the load is supported by two ropes , the M.A of the system is 2. But Efficiency is still 1 for ideal pulley ( No loss of energy due to friction)If the load is supported by three ropes , the M.A of the system is 3. Efficiency is still 1 for ideal pulley ( No loss of energy due to friction) .And so on.Read more: How_does_increasing_the_load_affect_the_ideal_mechanical_advantages_and_efficiency_of_a_pulley_system

What is Nano Electrical Mechanical System?

An easy question for me. However you should have read MEMS (Micro electromechanical system) to know about nano electro mechanical system.. The concept lies similar to mems wherein one uses mechanical and electrical properties of matter to aid in technological advancements at the microscale ie at 10^-6 m ... NEMS goes further down the scale at 10^-9 m ..

Design OF A fire fighting system for electrical control building?

we have to distinguish between firefighting and fire alarm system. fire fighting is mechanical work (either sprinkler system or Foam or CO2 or FM200) and there is fire alarm or detection system this is an electrical thing that includes ( detectors an fire alarm system) for electrical control building we use FM200.
