Without going into a lot of Physics, the easiest way for you to do that is probably as follows:

-- Find the weight of the empty car (check the owner's manual).

-- Find the weight of the passenger (may be a bit more difficult).

-- Add the two numbers.

-- If the weights were in kilograms, then you're done. The sum of the two 'weights'

is actually the mass you're looking for, although the method behind the numbers is

baloney and would not stand up in court.

-- If the weights were in pounds, then divide the sum by 2.205, and you'll have

the mass in kilograms.
