For a 3 phase motor, the voltage is 415.
Being an inductive load the power factor is commonly .85
The constant for 3 phase circuit is 1.732
You need to run the motor on no load and you use clamp meter to take the no load current. In considering the fact that on no load the measured current should not be more than 0.5 of the rated.
Assuming , under normal condition the no load current is 10 amps. Then the load current will be 20 amps.
Then from above and in using the formula P=I*V*p.f*1.732
Therefore P= 20*415*0.85*1.732.
P=12.3 kw
Thank you.

we can either use dc series motor or induction machine ,but dc supply is not easily available so we use induction motor ,
Induction motor is an AC electric motor which uses electromagnetic induction to induce the electric current in the rotor to produce torque.
To calculate the speed of an induction motor use the following formula, RPM = Hz x 60 x 2/motor # of poles. To answer the question, most of the motors must have 4 poles.
Induction motor used in industries for variable speed machines . Induction motor has always lagging power factor. Less cost compared to syn. Motor.
Standard induction motor has a closed squirrel cage rotor, where as open ended induction motor has split phase rotor.

Yes the Induction motor works on Electromagnetic induction principle.
stick urwein in it
All transformers, single phase or three phase have a "no-load current" rating. That is simply the nameplate rating of the Xformer in VA, (volt-amps) or KVA (1000Volt-amps) for larger Xformers. Simply divide the nameplate rating in VA or KVA by the supply voltage and you'll get the Xformers potential maximum output in ampheres.

A single phase induction motor is mainly used in fans.It is capacitor start capacitor run induction motor. In three phase induction motor squirrel cage induction motor is mainly used in elevators, lifts, cranes.slip ring induction motor is mainly used in electrically driven ships.

You would use a single-phase induction motor if the available electric power supply is a single-phase one. That applies to the average house or small business.
One thing you could do is look up the datasheet for the motor and/or contact the manufacturer of the motor. Also, if you know the guage of wire, you can calculate it based on the resistance of the coils on the motor/generator or on the coils of the transformer
1. Induction Motor has an air-gap but transformer has no air gap rather it is mutually link. 2. Induction Motor has high no-load current than transformer. 3. Induction Motor is a dynamic device. 4. Induction Motor has high power factor.
