Turn scale on wait tell the lcd reads 0.0 then press and hold the cal key tell it reads cal than lift your finger the scale should say 500.0 than put your 500.0 cal weight on center of scale (do not use your tray just the plate)and wait for it to say pass if it reads fail repeat process. If u scle says rcal when u turn on thanlet me know if you are able to caliberat it I have thrown mine away because I wasn't able to recaliberate it aftter it stared doing that any way you shoul have no problem as long as it reads 0.0 when turn ur scale on
