How do you delete old Skype messages?

On Skype, there is a feature under the "Tools" option that allows you to set your personal preferences for how long a message is stored on your computer. If you change this, the messages will delete themselves after the time period you have selected.

right click and select delete contact. the thing is you cannot directly delete contacts displayed from outlook database.

up in the left hand corner of your skype page, click on the "skype" then click on "privacy" then look for the "clear history" button. click it. it will destroy all history.

You click on Tool<Options<IM&SMS<Show advanced options (if it isn't already on)<Clear history.

You have to open the chat box for each chat session and have to delete it for every individual separately. You can't delete all the messages at once.
