first you need to take out the alian from its egg shape shell, remove the gunge REALLY carefully,then if you have a baby alien then you can put the gunge back on it and put the shell on it than put it in the frige and it will grow. But if you have a normall (big) alien than you can keep it out of the gunge but it will still live but with the babies you have to keep the gunge on to help them grow. This is how you roll the gunge onto the alien, you need to flatten the gunge so it feels flat then you need to slap it twice but make sure there is no holes then roll it over the alien.
