The best solution would be to take the rabbit to a rabbit-savvy veterinarian as soon as possible. Ear infections can be very painful, sometimes fatal and should always be seen by a rabbit professional.

∙ 11y agoOne answer: Are you sure it is an infection and not actually ear mites? If it is ear mights try castor oil to kill the mites and keep the bunnies ears clean. If it is actually and infection, ask you vet for an antibiotic. The oil actually get put in the ears (a couple drops twice a day for several days should work).
Disagreement: Castor oil will not kill the ear mites, not in the long term. Ear mites are really painful for bunnies, and they can cause permanent damage, so you should treat them as quickly and efficiently as possible!
You can't care for a bunny's ear infection or mites at home: you have to go to the vet for diagnosis and treatment. You have to know for sure what's wrong in order to care for it properly!
If it's mites, the vet will probably give your bunny an injection of selamectin, and this should take care of the problem! If it's an infection or something else is wrong, your bunny may need antibiotics and/or other treatment.

∙ 12y agoNo, there are no good home remedies for treating ear canker in rabbits.
The cure for ear canker is a drug called selamectin (brand names Revolution, Stronghold). Mineral oil and other topical treatments are not as effective in the long term, and if you try these remedies instead of selamectin you will likely prolong your rabbit's suffering. A single shot of selamectin should clear up the problem completely.
Ear canker is caused by a parasite called Psoroptes cuniculi and it's extremely painful for the rabbit. Rabbits with ear canker should be treated as soon as possible by a vet who specializes in rabbit care, so as to avoid permanent scarring to the ears. The longer you wait, the more likely your rabbit will develop complications that will increase your expenses, and your rabbit's suffering. (E.g. Rabbits in pain often choose to stop eating, which is extremely dangerous for rabbits - fasting quickly leads to GI stasis, which leads to death if not treated immediately.)

Usually if a rabbit has an ear infection, it has had some sort of cold. Unless you are talking about an infection from a scratch. They can scratch their ear and it can become (the scratch itself) infected, treatment would include some sort of antibiotic ointment for the scratch. Treatment for the ear infection caused by a cold would include antibiotic shots and ear drops.

If the infection is really bad your rabbit may need antibiotics which it may need if it has an infection for a wound to it's ear.
