If you are using a strap, you carry it the same way women carry purses, except for the guitar will be on your back. Or you can casually hold it as if you are about to play.
He is in a band.
I would sugegest around 1,500
you can't because the neck of the bass guitar is to long for an electric guitar case.
Well, I have been searching for kids guitars for my little sister, but I found a real electric guitar and everything for 69$ including amp, pick, strap, guitar case, extra strings, etc. In which kids' guitars range from 70-95$. It is on amazon, just search Combo 39" blue electric guitar. I am holding it right now as I type, and it is such an amazingly good electric guitar! :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO GO ALL OUT FULL GUITAR!
It is posible to fit an electric into an acoustic case. the case just has to be for a concert sized guitar. your electric may bump around a little in the case if its not paired up right though
I'd get a front mounted bicycle basked to put the book bag in, then I'd get a guitar case with a shoulder strap and carry the guitar on the back while riding.

An acoustic guitar does not need an amplifier. You can carry an acoustic guitar in a soft case. Acoustic guitars have the option of installing nylon strings are lighter to carry and they are generally easier and cheaper to repair. Some would say they sound better, but that is up to your music style. They are certainly more economical.
if it is a nicer guitar i would not recommend just a gig bag for it really gives the guitar no protection, just makes it easy to carry. if it just a beginner guitar and not so expensive, yes that will work fine. if it's nice i would recommend a hardshell guitar case
The times that I happened to be carrying a guitar when I was flying, I was fortunate enough to be able to carry my guitar on board the plane and have the stewardess put it in the closet at the front of the cabin. Otherwise, you would possibly have to have a really good hard case for it that's designed for traveling, such as an "anvil" (manufacturer name) case.

It is advisable to store the guitar in a case. It will extend the life of the guitar and require less maintainence.
Look into hobo bags because they tend to have shorter straps that you can carry almost like a brief case. Or look into bags with adjustable straps that you can turn into hand carriers.
The Unitech PA500 does have a strap holder available as an accessory, and makes a great case.
