You'll start off with 5 plain pokeballs w/ your pokedex from prof birch, a pokeball is used to catch Pokemon, when you find a wild Pokemon, you must paralyze them, make them sleep, burn em, etc. or hurt them until their health gauge is low. when this happens, go to BAG then in the pokeballs pocket and select "pokeball". once this happens, it's yours now. P.S: There is some balls that are better than just a pokeball like, ultra ball. P.P.S: You cannot use it against a trainers Pokemon is because that's stealing! P.P.P.S: If you catch a Pokemon it's information will be in the pokedex even when you delete them. P.P.P.P.S: sometimes the pokeballs don't work. HAPPY CATCHING!
