You can catch Zapdos in the Power Plant.
The easiest way is to put Zapdos to sleep, do damage with your ice or rock types. You can't catch Zapdos unless it's asleep and its HP is down to almost nothing. Use an Ultra Ball. If it wakes put it back to asleep. Change to a weaker pokemon and keep damageing. Repeat until caught. I'd go into battle with at least 20 Ultra Balls. Hope this helps.
