You can only get the sky forme of Shaymin in Platinum. You have to catch Shaymin in its land forme from Seabreak Path in Pokemon D/P, then transfer it from D/P to Platinum. You get the flower from a girl in Floaroma Town in Platinum. If your game isn't responding correctly then contact the makers or the shop.
