How do you catch latios in pokemon?

Latios is a pretty cool pokemon, but you can't get it in pokemon Sapphire. If you have Ruby, you need to check the telly downstairs from your room after you defeat the pokemon league. You can then find Latios flying around willy-nilly all over the bloody hoenn region. It's not easy to catch when you encounter it, because once you attack it or throw a ball at it, it runs away. I suggest you use your special 'Master Ball'. If you just can't let that go, then you can just follow it everywhere, throw some balls at it, and hope that you prayed enough for you to catch it. You can also get it in pokemon Soul Silver, with the same deal of flying everywhere, just you have to talk to steven at the first town you go to in the Kanto region, the one with the boat place.
