Some Pokémon are only in Firered Version, like Arbok and Growlithe, so if you prefer the FireRed-exclusive Pokémon, get FireRed. Leafgreen has version exclusive Pokemon that are pretty good, though.

Crystal is for GameBoy Color, but the others are for GameBoy Advance. The older games weren't meant to interact with the newer.
