heres what i did for both front cv shaft:
jack car up onto jack stands.
remove wheels
remove brake calipers
remove brake caliper mounting bracket
remove rotor (use impact hammer to remove rotor screws or drill the heads off)
unbolt lower ball joint
use pickle fork to pry ball joint from hub
(this will likely ruin the rubber on the ball joint, so replace. otherwise use a tie-rod end puller the remove)
pry the dent out of the keyway on the end of the drive shaft
use impact wrench to remove driveshaft nut
use 6" jaw gear puller to remove hub from end of drive shaft
yank on driveshaft hard to remove from tranny
I need to know the timing marks for when I put both the cam shafts back on and the head torque specifications for a 1997 KIA Sportage, two wheel drive.
how do u change thermostat in a 1997 kia sportage
carefully
where is the horn for a 1997 kia?
only from a stopped position. Do not try and do it on the fly. Not designed to do that.
how many spark plugs are in a 1997 kia?
you have two left/rights
have to completely pull tranny and 4 wheel diff.then replace clutch and re-install back in. Not for a novice, may want to leave this one to the tranny man.
all the ball joints are self lubricated, meaning no grease fittings, you cannot grease them or the steering joints, you can grease the front and back u joints on the drive shafts, but that is all.
To change the clutch on a 2004 Kia Rio, first, disconnect the battery and lift the vehicle securely. Remove the transmission by detaching the drive shafts, shift linkage, and any necessary bell housing bolts. Once the transmission is out, replace the old clutch disc, pressure plate, and release bearing with new ones, ensuring they are correctly aligned. Finally, reassemble the transmission, reconnect all components, and test the clutch operation before lowering the vehicle.
take out the old bulb and put the new one in :)
its located between the two shafts above the center support
