It's part of the driveshaft outer cv joint. Replace the shaft as per 2002 Clio 1.5dci
ring on drive shaft with senser next to it. usual fault! cracked by rust ring on drive shaft. change shaft.
Replace the half shaft.
they forgot to put the ABS ring back on after removing the axle.
If it is a 2-wheel drive then it is on the transmission tail shaft housing. If it is a 4-wheel drive then it is on the transfur case.
On some vehicles, the abs tone ring (what the sensor reads) is on the cv shaft.
It has 1 on each front wheel and 1 on the transmission tail shaft. If it's a 4-wheel drive then it will be on the transfur case tail shaft.
If it's not a 4x4 / 4-wheel drive then it is on the rear tail shaft housing on the transmission. If it's a 4x4 then it will be on the tail shaft housing of the transfur case.
It can be located on each wheel end to read the inside the rotor, or it could be in the rear end close to the drive shaft. It depends on the type of antilock brake system you have.
inside front rotors, you well see wiring going to sensors, the rear sensor only one at the diff.right above drive shaft.

i hope you are not thinking of doing this job at home . 1 remove wheel 2 remove the brake shoes 3remove the handbrake cable mountings of the backing plate 4 remove the wheel cylinder 5 undo 4 axle shaft hold down bolts just behind the backing plate 6 pull out the axle shaft assembley 7 mount the axleshaft on a vise(be careful it is heavy) 8 use the gas torch and heat the abs reluctor holding ring until it starts to fall off the shaft 9 heat the abs reluctor it too should fall of once it is heated to the correct temperature 10 remove the c clip 12 heat the wheel bearing retaining ring till it falls off the shaft 13 put the axle shaft on to a hydraulic press and press out the aring of the shaft and the backing plate 14 reverse order to install
on a 2000 dodge ram 1500 the abs sensor is located on the rear end above where the drive shaft meets the rear end, if it is bad there will be a brake light on in your dash and may rev high in first gear before shifting into second If it has 4 wheel abs there will be a sensor at each front wheel bearing.
