Info good 1989 thru 1995 lebarons.. this info from a m8 on http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=645219&highlight=water+pump I just replaced the timing belt and water pump on my '96 3.0L. When I called around to the different garages in my area they wanted anywhere fro…m $450 - $600 to do the job. I bought a book, did some searching online and did the job myself. If you look at the link below, it gives instructions on how to make a tool to hold the cam sprockets (which you really don't need unless you intend to replace seals) I sleeved and replaced seals on the cams and the crank while it had it apart. IIRC the book rate for this is somewhere around 5 hours. If you do decide to do it yourself, the front of the water pump does not "just come off" - there is a small screw that screws in from the back side of the housing - do not try to pry the front of the pump off - you will break the tab. You will need to pry the complete pump off the coolant pipe that runs under the intake manifold (there is a large O-ring on the end of the pipe that fits into the back of the pump . If you are doing the water pump do yourself a favor and replace the timing belt also. http://www.allpar.com/fix/3liter-timing-belts.HTML Good Luck. ( Full Answer )
Answer . Remove the straps holding the gas tank in place. Then use a screw driver and move the retaining ring to the position for it to come out. Loosen the bolts to the pully before removing the serpetine belt will often help. Put a wrench end on two different bolts at time to apply pressure enough to make each come loose. Why would 94 lumina fuel pump continue to run after a hard or no start condition with key and fuel pump relay removed?
The fuel pump in a 94 Lumina should not be running with the relayremoved. The relay could be mislabeled, as the fuel pump is stillgetting power through a relay.
It will take a skilled mechanic approximately 5 hours to change thefuel pump in your 1991 Mercury Cougar. It can take a novicemechanic much longer.
This is not an easy or inexpensive project. The water pump is located behind the timing belt in housing on the passenger side of the engine. Because this job is so labor intensive, it is highly recommended that the water pump be replaced in conjuntion with the timing belt, timing belt tensioner, an…d possibly the cam and crank seals (recommended). The service intervalon this job is every 60,000 miles on this engine.. Unless you really know what you're doing (many parts must be removed to expose the timing housing), using a repudable mechanic is advised. You're going to spend between $500.00 and $600.00.. Hope this helps. ( Full Answer )
The fuel pump on a 94 Chevy Impala SS is changed by lowering thefuel tank, disconnecting the wires, removing the fuel lines, andunbolting the pump. It can then be lifted from the tank and a newpump put into place.
Check the inertia ( fuel shutoff) switch inside the cab. Also, make sure the fuel pump relay is working and not fried. One sure fire way to tell if its the pump or not, have someone listen to the tank when the ignition is turned on; they should hear it..... or...take the fuel line off at the back of… the filter and turn your ignition key on. You should get a good squirt of fuel at that point. Believe it or not, some aftermarket (not OEM) parts have been known to be defective....lower cost fuel pumps especially. Hope that is not the case.. ( Full Answer )
Check your idling speed it might be too low to support the AC motor, so when you turn on the AC the engine dies, try increasing the idling speed a bit at a time.

Cooling the air is a Physical Change but there can be a chemical change going on inside the air conditioner with the coolant.
The air filter is located on the passenger side towards the front of the car in the engine compartment. This type of vehicle uses a square type of filter. The filter housing looks like a black box. It has about 3 or 4 clips. Simply lift off the clips with your fingers and separate the two halfs that… the housing is made of. Take the old filter out by pulling it with your hands and replace it with the new one facing the same direction that the old filter was in. Close the housing and snap the clips back in place. Hope this helps. ( Full Answer )
You changed the water pump in your 2001 jeep grand Cherokee but now the air conditioning does not work?
The first thing that comes to mind is whether when you replaced the water pump you purchased a belt that is of the right size to accomodate the pulley that runs your AC compressor. Although I'd doubt that any Grand was ever purchased or even produced without AC I guess its possible which would mean …that there would be two sizes of belts available. Check that first. Its possible that the new belt (if you did in fact replace the belt with the new water pump) is slipping on the AC compressor pulley due to a problem with belt tensioning or a defective compressor. With the engine running this would be easy to see and typically be making a squeeling noise. If the AC compressor pulley is turning then a further look at your air conditioning system would be your next step and would make me wonder if your AC was in fact working prior to the water pump replacement. in the engine compartment it is the top steel line on the passenger side of the car under the black plastic cap
By "skipping", do you mean "cycling off and on"? That is caused by low refrigerant pressure. Refrigerant slowly leaks even in an air conditioning system that is functioning properly. It's perfectly reasonable to expect to add a little refrigerant every year or two.
A pollen filer also known as a cabin air filter is located behindthe glove box. To replace the filter remove the glove box.
The oil pump on a 94 Honda Prelude is changed by draining the oil, unbolting the oil pan, and removing it from the vehicle. The oilpump can then be unbolted from the engine and a new one installed.

Take hoses off back, remove belt, unbolt from bracket(s). New pump may/may not come with reservoir. if complete, just swap it out. if not, many parts stores will install pump in old reservior for you. Look into this before you buy & whether or not there is a core exchange. have fun.
Seeing how The fuel pump is in the fuel tank, you need to do the following steps to drop the Fuel tank to get to it. This consists of 1) Remove your gas cap 2) Pull the vehicle backwards onto car ramps MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS LEVEL AND BLOCK THE FRONT WHEELS , SET THE EMERGENCY B…RAKE AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CAR RAMPS 2a) MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS LEVEL AND BLOCK THE FRONT WHEELS Jack the vehicle up and put Jack stands under a secure spot (rear axle is recommended.) 2b) Let the vehicle down gently off the jack until rested FIRMLY on the Jack stands. (MAKE SURE CAR IS STURDY AND DOES NOT ROCK EITHER WAY, FRONT TO BACK OR SIDE TO SIDE) 3) Unhook your exhaust from its one and only hanger and move it aside as much as possible. I suggest at this time you get a piece of wood and a scissor Jack for support of the tank. You will see two straps holding the tank up. 4) Remove the bolts holding the straps from the rear side of the tank. (SUGGEST YOU USE A TARP OR AN OLD BLANKET UNDER THE FUEL TANK) 5) SLOWLY let the jack down with the support of one hand or a friend (a friend is recommended depending on the amount of fuel in your tank) 6) Unhook your fuel lines from your tank 7) With the blanket/ tarp gently slide the fuel tank out from under the vehicle 8) With a specialized tool or a pair of pliers turn retaining ring on fuel tank counter clockwise to remove the fuel pump sending unit assembly . 9) Replace the unit with the unit you bought by using the manufacturers instructions. 10) Reverse process to put tank back on vehicle ( Full Answer )
The refrigerant change of state is what causes the heat transfer. The refrigerant is a low-pressure liquid when it's in the evaporator, which absorbs heat from the air, cooling it. The absorption of the heat causes the refrigerant to boil (change state from liquid to gas). The gas is then brought to… the condenser in the front of the car where it cools (rejects heat out) and condenses back to a liquid. ( Full Answer )
They are used when installing, to ensure there is no air or moisture in the pipework. On large industrial and commercial systems a sight glass may also be installed so the presence of moisture can be constantly checked for.
Sorry about the ignorant answer someone left. Yes A heat pump is also an Air Conditioner.
